Norfolkline selects Kewill to step up transport efficiency
Norfolkline, part of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group and one of Europe’s leading door-to-door transportation service providers, has chosen Kewill (KWL), a leading provider of software and solutions to simplify global trade and logistics.
Previously, Norfolkline’s in-house technology had supported the management and operation of Norfolkline’s transportation functions. However, this technology has become outdated and grown to a size and complexity that made it hard to develop, maintain and test.
The implementation of Kewill Transport will give Norfolkline a future proof transport platform providing increased flexibility and visibility across its logistics operations, which will enable the company to streamline its day-to-day business and improve its customer service.
Having initially looked at a list of 50 vendors and following a thorough shortlisting process and demonstrations from three companies, Kewill was selected. Norfolkline will implement Kewill Transport across a total of 32 sites and 384 users.
The software will enable Norfolkline to support its wide ranging business processes, ranging from intermodal operations to non-asset-based third party logistics.
